Hi Alec, I hope you are well. Please can you give me your views on Anglo Gold and gold stocks in general. I follow the markets in some detail and although Anglo output for the first quarter was lower than expected I dont understand the drop from R 350 ps in February to its current level in the R 250′s. I realise that from the December 2011 highs the dollar weakened and the gold price came down yet in the last two months the movement in these areas are largley offset with a slight devaluing of the rand and a slightly lower gold price. Standard Bank online sharetrading research refers to pricing targets of R 378 – 50% higher than the current price and yet the share wallows. The world markets are under strain again yet the gold stocks are taking a hammering – last year gold was the safehaven for many. Thanks
